Elisa Ferreira is the European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms (1 December 2019 onwards).
Before that, she was Vice-Governor of the Bank of Portugal (‘Banco de Portugal’). She joined the bank in June 2016, becoming Vice-Governor in September 2017. During her tenure, she was Portugal’s representative in the Supervisory Board of the Single Supervisory Mechanism.
Between 2004 and 2016 she was a Member of the European Parliament. Throughout her mandate, she was the coordinator for the Group of Socialists and Democrats in the EP’s Economic and Monetary (ECON) Committee, and was rapporteur, co-rapporteur or shadow rapporteur of many key legislative files, including the Six-Pack and Two-Pack, the BRRD or the Regulation creating the Single Resolution Mechanism.
She was a member of the Portuguese National Parliament between 2002 and 2004.
Elisa Ferreira was Portugal’s Minister for Planning (responsible for the Portuguese EU Multiannual Framework for regional policy) between 1999 and 2002.
She was Portugal’s Minister for the Environment from 1995 to 1999.
Between 1992 and 1994 she was Executive Vice-President of the Porto Industrial Association.
Before that, she worked at Portugal’s Northern Region Coordination Commission, a central government regional development institution of which she was the Vice-President from 1988 until 1992; in parallel, she was also a member of the Board of the Instituto Nacional de Estatística (Statistics Portugal).
Elisa Ferreira has a degree in Economics from the University of Porto, and a Master’s Degree (1981) and a PhD (1985) from the University of Reading, in the UK.
She is a professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (on leave of absence).

Jolanta Musielak jest absolwentką Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu na wydziale Nauk Społecznych oraz w ramach studiów MBA na Uniwersytecie Ekonomicznym uzyskała stopień akademicki Master of Business Administration Europejskiej Wyższej Szkoły Ekonomicznej ESCP-EUROPE w Berlinie. Pracuje w Volkswagen AG od ponad 22 lat. Początek pracy w koncernie to współtworzenie działu personalnego Volkswagen Motor Polska Sp. z o. o. w Polkowicach. Następnie przez rok pracowała w Niemczech w Dziale Personalnym koncernu Volkswagen w Wolfsburgu. W 2001 r. objęła funkcję Kierownika Działu Personalnego spółki Volkswagen Poznań, gdzie była odpowiedzialna za realizację koncernowej strategii personalnej. Od 2009 r. Jolanta Musielak pełniła w spółce Volkswagen Poznań funkcję Dyrektora Personalnego. 4 maja 2010 r. została powołana na stanowisko Członka Zarządu ds. personalnych i organizacji spółki Volkswagen Poznań. Od ponad 15 lat współpracuje z uczelniami wyższymi, m.in. Politechniką Poznańską oraz Uniwersytetem Ekonomicznym w Poznaniu. Współtworzyła m.in. koncepcję studiów dualnych oraz Engineer Development Programm. Zainicjowała wiele nowych programów edukacyjnych dotyczących kształcenia zawodowego oraz studiów dualnych. Jest aktywnym uczestnikiem wielu gremiów z obszaru HR i prawa pracy, m.in. Platformy HR. Pełni funkcję przewodniczącej Rady Uczelni Politechniki Poznańskiej. Jest członkinią Klubu Partnera Biznesu Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego, członkinią Rady Biznesu i Nauki Wydziału Prawa i Administracji oraz Społecznej Rady Programowej Wydziału Nauk Politycznych i Dziennikarstwa Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu.


Jolanta Musielak is a graduate of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań at the Faculty of Social Sciences and within the MBA studies at the University of Economics she received the academic degree of Master of Business Administration of the European School of Economics ESCP-EUROPE in Berlin.She has been working at Volkswagen AG for over 22 years. At the beginning of her work for the concern, she co-founded the personnel department of Volkswagen Motor Polska Sp. z o. o. in Polkowice. Then for a year she had been working in Germany in the HR Department of Volkswagen in Wolfsburg. In 2001 she took the post of HR Department Manager at Volkswagen Poznań, where she was responsible for realizing the HR strategy of the concern. Since 2009 Jolanta Musielak has been an HR Director at Volkswagen Poznań. On 4 May 2010 she was appointed a Member of the Board for Personnel and Organisation at Volkswagen Poznań. For over 15 years she has been cooperating with universities, among others with the Poznań University of Technology and Poznań University of Economics. She co-created, among others, the concept of dual studies and Engineer Development Program. She has initiated many new educational programs for vocational education and dual studies. She is an active participant of many bodies in the area of HR and labour law, including the HR Platform. She holds the position of the Chairperson of the University Council at Poznan University of Technology. She is a member of the Business Partner Club of the Poznań University of Economics, a member of the Business and Science Council of the Faculty of Law and Administration and the Social Programme Council of the Faculty of Political Sciences and Journalism of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

Director of the Legal Department at Vortex Energy Polska sp.z o.o. A lawyer specializing in the renewable energy sources. She has 15 years of experience in legal advisory regarding the development of wind and solar farm projects as well as other renewable energy sources. In 2010, she obtained the professional title of attorney-at-law. A long-time member of the Steering Committee of the Polish Wind Energy Association and currently also a Committee for Spatial Economy and Regional Planning at the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Håkan Tropp is a Director at SIWI with apt policy research experiences on water governance and institutional change, urban and rural water and environmental policy reform, climate and water and water economics. Dr. Tropp has ample international work experience from Asia, Africa and Europe and has worked with UNDP, UNDESA and OECD. He spearheaded and led the UNDP Water Governance Facility and was founding member and first chair of the Water Integrity Network and led the OECD Water Governance Programme. Dr. Tropp has authored several articles and reports on the role of governance for sustainable water development. He has a background in Political Science and Economics and holds a PhD in Water and Environmental studies at Linköping University.

Ms Rosalinde van der Vlies, is the Director of the Clean Planet Directorate in the European Commission’s, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation and Deputy Mission Manager of the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission.
Before her appointment as Director, Ms van der Vlies was the Head of Coordination & Interinstitutional Relations Unit, and acting Head of Communication & Citizens Unit.
Previously she held positions in Directorate-General Environment, Directorate-General Justice and Home Affairs, and in the private office of Janez Potočnik, the European Commissioner for the environment.
Before joining the European Commission, she worked as a competition lawyer in an international law firm in Brussels and was a part-time teacher at the Catholic University in Brussels.
